A Pennsylvania man is recovering after being bit by a rabid bobcat last weekend in Venango County.

Media reports say Alex Fink, 57, received scratches to his arms, head, torso and was also bitten by the animal. Fink was taken to a nearby hospital to be treated and given the first of several rabies vaccinations.

The animal was hiding in a crawl space under Fink’s home and was later put down and removed by Game Commission officers. Tests showed the bobcat was rabid.
