Montana FWP is advertising an opportunity for up to 3 members of the CSKT to trap muskrats on the Ninepipe WMA this winter.

The purpose is to reduce muskrat populations to lessen the damage they cause to water management structures. Burrowing by muskrats into earthen dikes and ditch banks reduces the effective lives of these structures and creates safety risks to habitat management staff operating vehicles and equipment on and along canals and impoundments.
