More than 60,000 traps removed from protected areas and more than 700 recycled guns confiscated

Park rangers from the Ministry of Environment, together with conservation partners and communities in protected areas, have removed 61,611 traps from protected areas.

The number of traps removed in 2021 increased by about 20 percent compared to the number of traps removed in 2021, which was 43,270 traps. This is according to the report of the Ministry of Environment published on January 19, 2022.

In addition to the traps, rangers also confiscated 758 firearms used for hunting in 2021, the ministry said.

To stop hunting, stop trapping animals, the Ministry of Environment calls on people not to eat meat, not to trade deer meat and not to believe that they are drinking the blood or eating the flesh or bones of wild animals for medicine or health.

On the contrary, eating exotic meat may put you at risk because there may be other viruses like the way Coronavirus was reported to have developed, from a bat.
