Events affecting Saskatchewan's wild fur economy

				  At the end of June, as summer in Saskatchewan hit its stride, many of the province’s trappers felt a cold wind blowing out of the east — the last breath of the winter past. The season had been a hopeful one. It produced snowfall and temperature conditions that resulted in better than average furs being harvested, according to Wrangler Hamm, president of the Saskatchewan Trappers Association.
