The McHenry County Conservation District will welcome guest speaker Dr. Christopher Jacques, an associate professor of wildlife ecology at Western Illinois University in Macomb, for a special presentation highlighting results from ongoing bobcat research in Illinois Bobcat Studies.

The presentation will be 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23, at the Lost Valley Visitor Center in Glacial Park, off Route 31 and Harts Road, Ringwood.

In 2017, they expanded the scope of work to estimate bobcat home range use and survival in the agriculturally-dominated landscapes of west-central Illinois.

The program is for Just for Adults, ages 14 years and older.

Registration and fee are required by Sunday, Oct. 21.

Admission is free for county residents and $5 for nonresidents.
