HERMANSVILLE — Once again, the Community Center in Hermansville will be the site of the 18th Annual New Trappers Workshop. This event will take place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. CST Feb. 4. There will be a number of local veteran trappers on hand willing to share tips, techniques, stories and maybe even some secrets of the sport of fur harvesting.

“This workshop is one of my favorite events and seeing all the trappers interact with the kids (and parents) is so neat,” stated Jeremy Lundin (longtime member and treasurer of District 3). “The kids really pay close attention to the demonstrators and always come up with really good questions. We hope they take what they learn at the workshop and develop an interest in a great outdoor sport. Many U.P. kids are able to harvest fur bearers within walking distance of their homes,” Lundin added.
